The emergence of 21^st century technologies replacing the old mechanisms of producing goods and services needs new talents to meet the latest employment opportunities. As a parent myself, with teaching experience of diverse education systems spanning over four decades, I am a strong believer that our young generation need a solid education to be able not only to survive the growing global competition, but also to secure high paying jobs that would lead to a high standard of living for them. I am therefore, passionate about establishing the appropriate infrastructure to deliver effective teaching to help meet this objective for prospective pupils aged 12 to 18. However, the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing disruption to education made students’ physical presence and face-to-face meeting with their teachers and classmates in classrooms difficult and risky, which poses the following questions:

-  how to supplement or provide an alternative to our children's day-to-day schooling with good quality teaching in the most cost-effective and efficient way during the outbreak of a pandemic? and

- what if other potentially similar health threats occur in the near future?

In the summer period students will be taught for 2 hours five days a week, comprising 120 hours of tuition over 12 weeks.

The course blends a number of subjects including Mathematics and Science as well as Economics and Business Studies. The emphasis is learning the English terminology used in these subjects. Homework and assignments on academic subjects provides the basis for discussing and writing in English about topics learned throughout the online classes. This would encourage a disciplined approach towards their studies and strongly improve their English language competency overall, therefore, preparing students to successfully study and pass IGCSE subjects later on.
